Ben J. Pierce

Youtube is the perfect platform for any young teenagers hoping to express their true selves as well as display their talents and interest in acting.

16 year old actor, singer, and Youtuber, Ben J. Pierce began his Youtube channel in 2011 as a way of documenting his journey when he started film acting at the age of 11. Eventually, he started creating sketches and telling stories to post on his channel as a way for him to express his creativity. “My camera became my best friend and the internet became the place we had exciting adventures on every week,” Ben states.

Ben’s video inspiration comes from people like Tyler Oakley, Connor Franta, and Troye Sivan. “Tyler reminds me to be unapologetically myself. Connor reminds me to find beauty in small moments. And Troye reminds me to create cool things— also to wish I was an Australian pop star,” Ben jokes.

In addition to Youtube, he began his singing career at an early age. Music had always been a “happy place” for him. Songwriting and singing were things he could throw himself into to uplift himself. In 2014, he wrote, produced and directed his own single and music video, "Little Game", which has received over 3.5 million views and been featured on the radio. His music career doesn’t stop there, however. You can look forward to future music projects in 2016.

Ben’s on-camera and off-camera personality can be best described as free-spirited yet hardworking. He knows when to get down to business, but his radiant energy never fails to show. His sense of humor seems to always be in full strength. When asked to describe himself in one word, he said, “It’s a tie between ‘Mess’ and ‘Storyteller’ so interpret me however you please.” When asked to describe his life in the past year in one word, he declared, “#BLESSED,” would be his description. Just by these two answers, I could tell he knows how to balance humor with honesty very well. If he could collaborate with one Youtuber, he revealed he would want to film with Miranda Sings. Because of both their outgoing, hilarious personalities, I think this would be one of the best collaborations on Youtube.

Ben not only creates videos to express himself, but he creates them to make people laugh and to “take them out of the stress of their real lives.” He is very genuine is his actions and his videos. If you’re having a bad day, I would definitely recommend KidPOV to be your go-to channel.
