Q&A: Margarita Elizabeth

,

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO USE YOUTUBE AS YOUR PLATFORM?
M: Youtube was something that was kind of there and easy to do. You can film as many takes as you want and you have full creative control so I really liked that.

WERE YOU NERVOUS WHEN YOU STARTED?
M: I was a little nervous just because I never really had any videos of me singing out in the world and the fact that anybody can listen/judge with one click, that was scary to me. I still get a little nervous now uploading a new cover each week but the amount of support I have gotten recently blows my mind and it immediately cancels out anything bad anyone has to say about me.

WHAT WERE YOUR INITIAL GOALS WHEN YOU STARTED YOUR CHANNEL?
M: Obviously Youtube is a platform people use to get noticed, I wanted to start a channel so that I could eventually have enough support to break away from only doing Youtube covers and start performing in real life and putting original content out.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COVER THAT YOU'VE DONE SO FAR?
M: My favorite cover of is probably my Young God Cover by Halsey. Not gonna lie, I still listen to it sometimes.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND HOPES FOR THE FUTURE?
M: The goal is to have original content to share with everyone really soon and just grow as an artist and person. I would also love to go on tour as well. Music gives me this amazing feeling and I really want to be able to throw that feeling back into the world.

WHO ARE YOUR MUSICAL INSPIRATIONS?
M: A couple of my musical inspirations are Lana Del Rey, Halsey, and Melanie Martinez.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC STYLE?
M: I would definitely say that I am an indie pop artist.

IF YOU COULD COLLABORATE WITH ANY ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE?

M:  I would love love love to have a song out with The Weeknd.
